Kilvington Students Exchange :D

On September, Killington Student came to our school (Global Jaya), they came on Saturday from Yogyakarta and picked up by their Host Family. I, as a student buddy were told to guide them when they had arrive to school. I heard that they were having a good Sunday by going or enjoying their time with their host family to get to know each other better. When they first arrived to school, we gathered in one of the room that my school have. We were having a brief explanation by the teachers and the coordinator that coordinated the event for 5 days. The coordinators were introducing the student buddies to the Kilvington Students, and they were told which buddy will guided them at school for the whole 5 days. I was introduced to a girl named Olivia and her friend named Ruby (Vallin’s buddy).
On the first day, we did not much activities, so we were just hanging out, and get to know each other better. We walked around the school and explained things to them, I tried to entertain them so that they don’t get bored. They also came to our classes and joined the lesson. From what I feel was that, they were bored of what the teacher taught us, because I thought the way that their teachers taught them is different with how our teacher taught us. Their faces looks so uninterested.
The next day, they were not in the school for the whole day, because they went to like a place where they can make their own Batik and Stuff, and they can eat Indonesian food. When they came back and I asked them how it was, they said it was tiring and hot, because I knew that on the place where we can make our own batik, they have no AC it’s just an open place where Sun could come in. On the other hand, they were happy because they could make their own Batik and bring it home.
On Wednesday, they were making a Wajang Puppet with an Indonesian teacher and an art teacher. We weren’t able to play with them for the half day. But then they went to PVA Class after lunch. In PVA class, we taught them how to play the traditional instrument called Kolintang. It was hard for them to just go with the flow because we “the expert ones” have known better than them, so that when we played we played so fast and we made it hard for them to follow us.
On Thursday, they didn’t stay at school because this was the day where they went for a tour around Jakarta. They first went to the Ragunan Zoo to see and feed the animals. They were also allowed to buy merchandise to be brought home. After they went to Ragunan, they went to Dufan (theme park) to play all the rides they wanted. I wanted to come, well, the student council were planning to come with them, but we didn’t get the permission from the principal, so we waited at school. I knew that they were havng lots of fun together at Dufan, as I can see even though they were exhausted, they were always trying to enjoy the day without complaining. This is what I liked about them.
The last day they were here, they were making a shirt and Indonesian Traditional foods in ES and FT class. We can only met them afterschool , so we went there afterschool, I gave my buddy (Olivia) Indonesian’s Snacks and she gave me a Koala thing. We were exchanging gifts and They were overing us to tasted their foods and drinks. They weren’t too bad but I heard one of them said that the foods were weird and it looks disgusting, they didn’t like it but then they told us to ate it. It was good though, it only needs more sugar to make it more sweet.
After we when to FT and ES class to met them, we then went to the PVAC/MPH where the place itself is for people to gather together. We gathered there and we have an early dinner, with the host family, student buddies and the principals. There were also the year 9’s (including me) singing to entertain the students. When I was singing, I felt so nervous and I got my stage fright. But then it went well. We were fast forwarding the event because they needed to go to the airport earlier. A quarter of the Kilvington student went to the airport an hour earlier because they had to go to Bali for a holiday. So when we had our early dinner, we took loads of pictures with the kilvington students, one of the host family cried when it’s time for them to leave this city. I met some new people on the last day, andhow I wish I could’ve known them for the day we first met .
I miss them already. L

Heeey :) #2

Hey, how is it going guys?

You know what? I've finished my first book! And now I'm doing my 2nd book and I'm half through it all :D

I am not going to talk about the book right now, besides I'm going to talk about me, not "me" personally, but "me" as what I'm doing on the weekend and how's y.9 going.
On the weekend, I usually went out for a movie or a quality time with my family, but then now, I have soccer and usually the match takes places on the weekend which bothers me a lot. Year 9 is going alright, no problems with friends or the subjects, it's just hard, but that "hard" thing could turns easy when you really want to achieve something good and you have to committed.

What did you guys do on the weekend? comment below ;)

Review

I'm telling you why we broke up, Ed. I'm writing it in this letter, the whole truth of why it happened.

I am reading a book with the tittle "Why We Broke Up" and written by Daniel Handler.
So there is a girl named Min Green and her (ex)boyfriend named Ed Slaterton. They broke up after a while they've been together. That way, in this story Min is writting Ed a letter and giving him a box. Inside the box is why they broke up. Two bottle caps, a movie ticket, a folded note, a box of matches, a protractor, books, a toy truck, a pair of ugly earrings, a comb from a motel room, and every other item taht were collected over the course of a giddy, intimate, heartbreaking relationship. Item after item is illustrated and accounted for, and then the box, like a girlfriend, will be dumped.
Each items told a story how they went and what they do on that day.

I think the book is like a diary that a girl would love to write in it all day when she is heartbroken.
This book is fantastic, it is written neatly and in general the story is about honesty, a girl get left behind by her boyfriend.
